Garmin .Montana 600

Don't let the Montana fool you into thinking it's preloaded with maps you won't need from Montana - this GPS has the largest hand-held screen available on the market and no preloaded maps with all kinds of space for loading Baja Maps!
$465.99

Big, Tough Outdoor GPS That Goes Anywhere

  • 4" dual-orientation, glove-friendly touch-screen display
    • Offers double the space at 4000 waypoint storage and 200 routes & 200
    •     track logs storage (same as all the newer units on the market).
    • 3-axis compass with barometric altimeter
    • Supports BirdsEye satellite imagery, Garmin Custom Maps and photo
    •     navigation
    • Uses rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack OR AA batteries - I like that!

The real deal here is the screen size.  The 600 does not come with any preloaded maps, but it comes with a basemap and offers 3.0 GB of built in memory for loading the Baja E32 or Baja Nav map.  It has the ability to add maps by accepting data cards (purchased separately is typical).  I love everything they have packed into this unit for off-road, but the real question is: touch-screen??  I'm reviewing that this week and I'll letcha know!  If it's not updated here..... email me!
